Joe Eck

Joe has spent the last ten years as an active member of Seattle’s vibrant music scene.  He is frequently performing locally, touring, and recording with a wide range of genres and artists including Witch Ripper, GoodCo, Bootleg Sunshine, Evan Captain Trio, Julian Priester, Jim Knapp, A Cedar Suede, Geoff Ott, Matt Bayles, Seattle Children’s Theater, as well as contributing to many other recording projects and performances.

Major festival appearances include Knotfest, Pain in the Grass, Chicago Doomed and Stoned Fest, Northwest Terrorfest, Lightning in a Bottle, Swingamajig, Tanzcafe Arlberg Music Festival, Ballard Jazzfest, and many others.  A graduate of both Perpich Center for the Arts (Minneapolis, MN) and Cornish College of the Arts (Seattle, WA), Joe has developed a reputation as a performer and educator for being well prepared and approaching situations with utmost professionalism. 

With over fifteen years of teaching experience, Joe makes the drumset approachable for beginners and enjoys adding to the depth of knowledge for intermediate and advanced players by breaking bad habits and helping others improve their skills according to their personal goals on the instrument.
